L-Theanine - is an organic compound classified as a non-protein amino acid. It is a derivative of glutamine and can cross the blood-brain barrier. It occurs naturally in the L-form in the leaves of Camellia sinensis, making green tea one of its main dietary sources.
Inulin is a plant-derived polysaccharide composed of more than 30 monosaccharide units linked by β-2,1-glycosidic bonds in an unbranched chain. It serves as a storage carbohydrate in plants. Inulin is not digested in the upper gastrointestinal tract and reaches the large intestine largely unchanged, where it is fermented by gut bacteria. It is used as a source of dietary fibre and as a prebiotic.
