This is how Omega-3 fatty acids work according to EFSA Health Claims:

• Blood pressure:  EPA and DHA can contribute to the maintenance of normal blood pressure with a daily intake of at least 3g. The total daily intake of 5g of combined EPA and DHA should not be exceeded.

• Blood lipid levels:  EPA and DHA can contribute to maintaining normal blood triglyceride levels with a daily intake of at least 2g. The total daily intake of 5g of combined EPA and DHA should not be exceeded.

• Heart:  EPA and DHA can contribute to the maintenance of normal heart function with a daily intake of at least 250mg of EPA and DHA.

• Eyes:  DHA can contribute to the maintenance of normal vision with a daily intake of at least 250mg of DHA.

• Brain:  DHA, with a daily intake of at least 250mg of DHA, can contribute to the maintenance of normal brain function.

• Fetus & Infant:  With a daily intake of at least 200mg DHA, in addition to the daily dose recommended for adults, maternal DHA intake can contribute to the normal development of the eyes and brain in the fetus and breastfed infant.

Recommended use

• 0-6 years: 5 ml (according to the enclosed dosing aid)

• 6-12 years: 10 ml (according to the enclosed dosing aid)

• From 12 years of age: 15 ml (regular daily dose according to the enclosed dosing aid)

*The dosage for children should be agreed upon with a pediatrician beforehand.

Warnings

If the oil is cooled very slowly without movement, "flakes" may form. This is a completely natural process, also known to occur with coconut oil, for example. Store your oil briefly at room temperature and shake it gently. Afterwards, any solidified particles should dissolve. This process does not affect the high quality of our oil.

Do not heat above 60°C. Do not use for frying. Do not cook with it. The heat destroys the valuable omega-3 fatty acids.

The best way to store our fish oil is in the refrigerator, away from light. This will keep your oil fresh for longer and preserve its fresh and fruity taste.
